The king of romance

Yash Chopra, the man behind so many of my favourite movies has passed away.

Indian films have lost several wonderful people over the last two years but the loss of Mr Chopra will be felt by romance lovers everywhere. Not to mention Shah Rukh Khan fans, who owes a large chunk of his career to the YRF banner.

Oddly enough, I was watching Darr (1993) today, one of SRK’s movies that I’ve loved since forever. That was also produced under the YRF banner, and directed by Mr Chopra himself. It was the first of many movies the two worked together and Jab Tak Hain Jaan (out in December this year) would have been the latest. It is now his last and I’m sure, it’ll go on to make history in its own right.

I’ll miss the man who created many of my favourite movies.
